Looking for affordable before and after school programs with transportation to/from school?
The Club has everything you need, with award-winning programs for grades K-8.

Our school-age recreation centers offer adult supervised before and after school child care programs and activities under the guidelines of the California Department of Social Services. Children enrolled in TK and kindergarten through high school are eligible to join our school-age centers. Younger children not meeting the age requirements may attend one of our licensed child development preschools for ages 6 weeks through pre-kindergarten.

Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Grades: TK & Kindergarten – 8th Grade

Membership Fee

$25 (Valid from September 2024 – August 2025)

Program Fees

Before School Program: 6:30am – until school starts, Monday – Friday

  • $40 – Full Time, 5 Days per Week
  • Includes school bus transportation to participating schools

After School Program: After School – 6:00pm, Monday – Friday

  • Full-Time – 5 days per week
    $100/week for grades 1-8, 2nd child $90/week
    $110/week for kindergarteners
    $130/week for TK
  • Part Time
    1 day per week: $40/week
    2 days per week: $60/week
    3 days per week: $80/week
  • As Needed – $45/day
  • Full-Time and Part-Time After School Programs include school bus transportation to participating schools AND include full-day programs on your regularly scheduled days from 6:30am – 6:00pm at no extra charge when schools are closed for conference days, school holidays, and Winter and Spring Break.

Scholarships are available for families whose incomes qualify. Please ask the front office for more information.

Afterschool Activities
  • Academic Success. The Club supports learning with dedicated staff for homework assistance, computer labs, WiFi access, printers, and other resources to help your child succeed in school. Ater finishing their homework, kids can dive into the subjects they love with educational,  hands-on enrichment programs that make learning fun! Activities include: homework help, Power Hour, Imagine Science, Ozobots, BreakoutEDU, KidzScience, ST Math, Scholastic LitCamp, Lego Engineers, DIY STEM, littleBits, Project Learn, MyFuture.net and coding and robotics programs.
  • Good Character & Leadership. Kids love to help others! Through the Club’s character and leadership development programs, kids get a chance to create their own service and entrepreneurship activities and they learn to make smart life choices. Activities include: SMART Moves, SMART Girls, Torch Club, Journeys: Paths to Adulthood, Passport to Manhood, Youth of the Year and Kid of the Month.
  • Healthy Lifestyles. The Club teaches life skills and healthy habits that will set your child up for independence and wellness.  Activities include: Cooking and nutrition classes, Positive Sprouts (gardening and science), Healthy Habits, and Triple Play (healthy lifestyles).
  • Arts. Let your child’s creativity go wild in the Club’s arts programs. Activities include: arts and crafts, Image Makers (digital photography), Meet the Masters (fine art), Creative Authors Club, and digital arts.
  • Sports & Recreation. Club programs help develop physical fitness, reduce stress and promote a positive use of leisure time, appreciation for the environment, and interpersonal skills.  Daily sports games and activities in our gym and outdoor spaces keep kids active and having fun! Activities include: Triple Play, basketball, soccer, foosball, pool, indoor and outdoor games, relays, tournaments, and contests.
  • Social Emotional Learning. As kids grow, their social emotional development is a key factor in their happiness and success in all areas of life. The Club’s programming is designed to:
    • Help kids learn how to make friends and develop positive relationships with peers and caring adults.
    • Help kids learn about feelings and develop self-control and empathy.
    • Help kids develop good self-esteem and understand that they are important members of our Club community and the wider world.

Kinder Club - TK & K

Kinder Club
Children in the Kinder Club have their own special space, designed by early childhood education specialists just for children in Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten The Kinder Club has many learning opportunities to help all kids reach their full potential:

  • Computer with learning games
  • Handwriting
  • Artistic Expression
  • Dramatic play/dress up area
  • And lots more!

Kinder Club staff also help the kids use the whole Club in activities like cooking class in the teaching kitchen, computer lab time, arts and crafts in the art room, gardening club, and sports activities in
the gymnasium.

Participants must be enrolled in TK or Kindergarten during the 2024-2025 school year in order to participate.

Transportation

Our weekly before and after school program includes transportation to and from 40+ schools in the Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach, Ocean View, Garden Grove, and Westminster school districts on our certified buses.

COVID-19 Operating Protocols

The safety of the children we serve is always the Club’s #1 priority. Since the start of the pandemic, we have been able to keep our Boys & Girls Club community as safe as possible by working together and following the guidance of public health experts.

These precautions include (but are not limited to):

  • Face coverings as encouraged by local health care agencies.
  • Frequent sanitizing of facilities and equipment.
  • Encouraging good hygiene practices, including hand hygiene.

Your cooperation in following the guidance below will help us ensure the safety of our club community.

  • Stay home when you are sick and contact the branch immediately to inform of illness.
  • Members must be symptom free to attend the Club.
  • Members who exhibit symptoms while at the club must be picked up immediately.
  • The Club will notify parents and Staff of any positive COVID-19 case in a cohort/classroom.
  • Children with reported symptoms may be required to provide a doctor’s note, negative COVID-19 test, or self-isolate before return to the Club.
  • The Club will follow guidance on COVID-19 isolation and quarantine provided by the CDPH and County of Orange.
  • The Club adheres to required reporting requirements and will notify OCHCA of any newly reported case of COVID-19 of members or staff.
