What is the ClubHouse Academy?
Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley provides award-winning performing arts and martial arts programs for youth at our ClubHouse Academy Center for the Performing Arts in Fountain Valley. These programs nurture talent and build children’s skills in acting, dance, music, karate, and gymnastics.
The ClubHouse Academy meets Orange County’s need for high quality youth programs that are affordable for families and led by professionals in their fields. At ClubHouse Academy, there is something for everyone, from beginners trying a class for the first time to teens who are preparing for careers in their chosen discipline.
A New Home for ClubHouse Academy
For nearly 20 years, the City of Fountain Valley has generously provided space to the Club at below market rate rent. However, our longterm lease with the City has ended.
To make a permanent home for our performing arts and martial arts programs, the Club will add 6,000 square feet to the Kingston Branch, just one mile from the current ClubHouse Academy location. Once complete, the addition will provide 25% more space for performing arts and martial arts and will bring practice and performance space all under one roof.
To build this exciting new addition to the Kingston Branch, the Club is undertaking a $5.2 million capital campaign – Chasing Dreams.
ClubHouse Academy Performing Arts programs make a difference!
- 91% of participants report learning new skills and techniques
- 100% of participants say they communicate their feelings and emotions through the arts
- ClubHouse Academy gives kids a second home, a second family, and a place they feel like they belong
- Free programs, low-cost services, and scholarships make the arts accessible for all kids
One ClubHouse Alum shares:
“ClubHouse Academy will always feel like home. Not only did I get fabulous training at ClubHouse Academy that prepared me for a career as a performer, I learned so many skills there about responsibility, perseverance, time management, relationship building, respect, discipline, problem solving, and more.”
